Brunna.co is a Californian plant-based fashion line established in 2017. They represent the voice of local artisans in Bali and other provinces of Indonesia who work from the comfort of their own home while nurturing their children and family. They are known for their island-hopping bags & accessories collection which are sourced directly from local farmers. Their vision empowers local talent to preserve Indonesian culture. The Story

BrunnaCo is a Californian environmentally & socially sustainable fashion brand founded by Helga Ida Ayu, an Indonesian immigrant who resides in California. Each of their collections is handcrafted by select artisans, mostly women, from the comfort of their home in Indonesia, especially Bali, Helga’s home island. They commit to making it possible for their female artisans to work from home to pursue their dream whilst playing an important role as a mother and housewife. In Indonesia, many women have to sacrifice their job and career after they got married to dedicate their lives to their families. BrunnaCo hopes to empower their female artisans and help them to feel accomplished.

The Mission

BrunnaCo's objective has always been to create meaningful pieces using locally harvested plant-based materials, vegan, recycled, organic, and other eco-friendly materials that leave a positive impact on our environment, as well as to share the stories of their female artisans and to support their local artisan community especially in this challenging pandemic situation.
